Our History
Pawz was started in 2009 by Schalk and Annelie Groenewald - adept photographers with a common love of nature and the outdoors.
Since obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design (B.Int) at the University of Pretoria in 2000,
Annelie has opted to pursue and nurture her talent in the finer arts, namely acrylic
and oil on canvas wildlife paintings, pen sketches and off course wildlife
photography.
Schalk has been involved in the creative industry since 1996, in which he has
developed his graphic design, website development and photography skills. Photography has become a very important part of his life, and he has always loved spending quality time in the outdoors.
Whenever their schedules permit, Schalk and Annelie can be found travelling around beautiful
South Africa with their cameras slung over their shoulders.
Pawz believes in doing its part in ensuring that the next generations will also
be able to appreciate South African wildlife, and is therefor actively involved
in various conservation projects.
